That hair-on-fire graphic is fun, but the U would prefer you use these email signatures

This policy is based on professional best practices and does not allow the addition of graphics or images. The U is asking all campuses, colleges, and units to comply with the policy, which is simple and has options to fit every employee.

Here’s an example of a standardized signature:

Jane Doe
Senior Lecturer | School of Kinesiology | kin@umn.edu
University of Minnesota | umn.edu
janedoe@umn.edu | 612-624-0000 | c. 612-555-5555

The U’s guidelines are easy to follow, offer a variety of versions that apply to any employment situation, and provide instructions for changing your signature. Go to this site for more information.
