The December School of Kinesiology “Kickstart Mini Workshop” focused on Google Drive and Google Docs, as well as on alternative file sharing systems that the University supports.
After providing a general overview of Google Drive participants were guided through an exercise demo of Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides. Discussions about security, ownership and sharing, search, and revision history followed. Of particular interest was the handling of Microsoft Office files in Google Drive (upload/download).

In addition, Jennifer Horn, CEHD IT services, provided an overview of all UofM supported file sharing systems. Jennifer summarized these systems by stating, “The easier to share, the less secure files are.”
